Faith Is Not Stupidity

I believe in God.

So, according to some Atheists, I don't believe in the advancements made everyday thanks to science, I'm living in a dream world, and I need to pray to a fictional character because I can't handle the real world.

Tell me that doesn't sound stupid.

Now, I'm not saying believers are 100% in the right. I can see why people get upset when others try to convert them to their religion, and I can see how people can't bring themselves to believe the far fetched stories in the bible. That's fine, I can totally understand their stand point.

The thing is, you're all too up in arms about this. Why does everyone seem to think that preconceptions of the other can't be wrong? Whenever this problem arises in forums, everyone's at each other throats (I don't know why Atheists more often than not are the ones laughing at the believers), but really, no one bothers to listen to what the other side is saying or automatically assume the worst of the other.

To those out there with an open-mind, I hope you can understand how sad is it to see people fight blindly, and how sad it is that the real point of a religion, usually, "be kind to others and to yourself" is lost on deaf ears.
